Ciro Immobile 7/5 to score anytime against Switzerland in Wednesday’s European Championship contest

Looking to build off of what was a stunning opening display, Italy will welcome Switzerland to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday night.

Starting wih the hosts, opening up this summer’s delayed European Championships last Friday, Italy laid down what was the most clinical of markers in Rome. Putting on a real second-half romp at the Stadio Olimpico, The Blues landed a thumping 3-0 win against Turkey and the mood in Roberto Mancini’s squad will be at a real high. Enjoying a stellar winning run under the one-time Manchester City boss, they also have an attacking talisman in the midst of another free-scoring campaign. Finding the net against Turkey last time out and putting in a rampant display, Ciro Immobile has bagged back-to-back international goals after also getting on the scoresheet in Italy’s 4-0 win against the Czech Republic in their final friendly matchup earlier in the month. Recording 29 goals for club and country so far this season, the Lazio striker should be confident of extending on that tally in midweek.

As for the visitors, while Switzerland might have found themselves enjoying a real purple patch heading into this summer’s delayed European Championships, The Reds failed to really impress in their opening contest. Throwing away the lead and eventually having to settle for a 1-1 draw against Wales in Baku, Head Coach Vladimir Petković will know that his squad face another stern test on foreign soil on Wednesday night. While The Swiss might still fancy their chances of finding a route out of Group A, Rossocrociati have continued to gain a reputation for their struggles on the road. Including that sluggish draw against Wales last week, the midweek guests have managed to win just one of their last six straight away fixtures, a run that stems back to November 2019.
