Manchester City manager Mark Hughes is considering making a £12million bid for Bayern Munich defender Philipp Lahm in the January transfer window.
The Sun says Hughes watched the Germany defender in action for Bayern Munich last month.
It has been reported in recent weeks that Lahm is unhappy at the Bundesliga side and would be ready to leave in January.
Hughes is looking to bring in Lahm as Wayne Bridge has failed to become a hit at Eastlands, following his £12million move from Chelsea in January.
Manchester United have previously been linked with a move for Lahm.
