Tottenham have failed in a bid to land Manchester City defender Vedram Corluka, it emerged in The Times today. Juande Ramos wants to bring in another central defender as he doubts the fitness of Ledley King and the form of Michael Dawson, but he will now have to look elsewhere.
The Times reported that Corluka, who was believed to be very close to completing a move to White Hart Lane, has now decided to stay with Manchester City.
Tottenham will now concentrate on attracting other players as they have already failed to land defenders Fabricio Coloccini and Fernando Meira. But Juande Ramos will also be searching the world for a new striker as he prepares to grant Dimitar Berbatov’s wish to join Manchester United.
