City eyeing English trio

Manchester City have been linked with big money moves for three of the Premier League’s brightest English talents, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League champions have been eyeing a move for West Ham United full-back Aaron Cresswell in recent weeks, but are now eyeing moves for Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere and Ross Barkley of Everton as they look to fulfil their quota of home grown players for next season.

Of the eight players that qualified at the beginning of the season, John Gudetti and Scott Sinclair are currently out on loan and James Milner and third choice goalkeeper Richard Wright are both likely to move on at the end of the season along with Frank Lampard, who will finally end his loan spell and link up with New York City.

Manuel Pellegrini also has England number one Joe Hart, and defenders Dedryck Boyata and Gael Clichy in his squad, while Micah Richards is not expected to return to the club as his contract expires when his loan spell with Fiorentina ends.
