Manchester City risk losing England number one Joe Hart after delaying contract talks until the summer.
The England international has signed a five-year deal worth £30,000 per week in 2008, but he has since become an integral part of Roberto Mancini’s side.
City chiefs were planning to offer Hart a new contract that would treble his current salary, but they have now decided to delay contract talks until after the season ends.
This basically means that one of the most important players in the side will continue to earn three times less than fringe players like Wayne Bridge and Shay Given.
The latest decision could cost City chiefs dearly since Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on the England international and they could offer him an escape route from Eastlands.
Joe Hart could be tempted to move away from Eastlands, especially if City fail to ensure Champions League football.
