City youngster Mak signs for Nuremberg

Bundesliga outfit FC Nuremberg have announced the signing of young Slovakian attacking midfielder Robert Mak from Man City.  The Bratislava born starlet, who can play on both wings as well as a striker,  has signed a three year contract with Nuremberg that will keep him at the club till 2013.

Slovakian U-21 international Mak said that he had taken advice from compatriots Marek Mintal and Robert Vittek before deciding to switch to Germany. Both Mintal and Vittek joined Nuremberg in 2003 from Zilina and Slovan Bratislava respectively. While Mintal is still at the club, Vittek left Nuremberg in 2008 for French club Lille.

Nuremberg’s director of sport Martin Bader announced that he was delighted with the signing and added that Mak had both pace and technical awareness, a rare combination in someone so young.
