French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands that Celta Vigo are on the verge of signing Lyon forward Claudio Beauvue.
After their initial proposal had been rejected, the Sky Blues submitted a new bid that includes a fixed fee of €4 million and another €1 million in performance related bonuses.
And with the player’s representatives confirming that Beauvue only wanted to join Celta Vigo, it is just a matter of time before he arrives at Balaidos.
The 27-year-old only joined Lyon last summer from Guingamp and he did well to score 5 goals in 19 league appearances.
However, Lyon appear to have decided to cash in on his services, with Celta Vigo losing no time in an attempt to add the forward to their ranks.
Capable of covering numerous positions in attack, Beauvue will be a good alternative to Iago Aspas, while he could also slot in on the left wing if Nolito leaves the club.
