Bayern Munich striker Claudio Pizarro could be the subject of a summer bid from Hamburg, according to Bild.
The veteran forward’s deal at Alianz Arena is due to expire in June and with the Bavarians looking to sign a new centre forward there is every chance the Peruvian will be allowed to leave at the end of the current campaign.
Hamburger SV are hoping to take advantage of the situation and sign the proven goalscorer on a free transfer in the summer.
HSV boss Thorsten Fink hasn’t been impressed with summer signing Artoms Rudnevs and has been using Heung-Min Son as a centre forward of late.
He is, therefore, keen on adding a striker who can slot straight into the starting line up and Pizarro looks the perfect choice.
The 34-year-old has been pretty impressive every time he was called upon this season, bagging 13 goals in just over 1,000 minutes of football.
