Montreal Impact have announced the signing of French goalkeeper Clement Diop from Los Angeles Galaxy.
The 24-year-old was surprisingly allowed to leave on a free transfer despite making 15 MLS appearances last term and he eventually signed a deal with Montreal Impact.
Diop was acquired in the Waiver Draft, thus becoming a third player to join the club in a very short period of time.
Namely, both Jukka Raitala and Raheem Edwards had signed for Montreal Impact the previous day.
Clement Diop had begun his career at Amiens, but he left for LA Galaxy without making a single league appearance for the club.
The goalkeeper went on to feature in 17 Major League Soccer fixtures and now gets a chance to further improve said record.
