(GSM) – Club Brugge’s efforts to keep up with Belgian league leaders Anderlecht seem to be of no avail as the second-placed side dropped two points at Gent on Sunday.

Things started well for Brugge as Dorge Kouemaha put the visiting team ahead with less than three minutes played at Jules Otten stadium in Gent.

But the hosts would not give up and netted the equaliser with only seven minutes to go in regular time.

Brugge are now seven points behind Anderlecht, who also have a game in hand.

Standard Liege climbed to fourth position thanks to a 1-0 win over Westerlo. Sebastien Pocognoli scored the only goal of the match after 88 minutes.
