(GSM) – The second place in the Belgian league is no longer in sight for Club Brugge after a 2-0 defeat at Kortrijk on Friday.

Brugge had already lost the second spot to Gent a week earlier, and suffered their third consecutive defeat in their away match to Kortrijk.

Christian Benteke scored both of the home side’s goal, hitting the target in the 36th and 41st minutes.

Last week, Anderlecht already secured the title with a 1-2 victory at Brugge.
