The Orlando Pirates have earned the right to play Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the 2011 Vodacom Challenge Final.
The Pirates beat fellow South African side the Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 on Thursday to earn a spot in the final of the pre-season friendly tournament.
Orlando seized the initiative early in Johannesburg and went close early on through Dane Klate’s free-kick.
The Chiefs should have opened the scoring when Siphiwe Tshabalala’s shot was well saved by Senzo Meyiwa in goal.
But Orlando eventually broke the deadlock just before the hour when Tlou Segolela beat the goalkeeper from close range, and they will now face Tottenham in the final on Sunday.
In other club friendly action on Thursday, EPL side Aston Villa beat League One outfit Walsall 3-1 thanks to a first-half brace from Darren Bent.
Kleber netted a double for Portuguese champions Porto as they won by the same margin over Rio Ave,while Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart defeated Turkey’s Sivasspor 2-1.
