Cody Gakpo is Arsenal’s top summer transfer target?

Arsenal are interested in signing Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven in the summer transfer window, according to Foot Mercato. The report in the French news outlet has claimed that the Gunners have the young forward at the top of their list for a summer transfer.

The Gunners, though, have yet to make a move for the 23-year-old PSV because they are waiting to see if they will qualify for the Champions League next season. Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 66 points from 35 matches.

Gakpo has made 20 starts and five substitute appearances in the Eredivisie for PSV this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists in the process. The 23-year-old forward also scored two goals in four Europa League matches this camping.
