Cole agent rubbishes talk of Palace return

The agent of former England international Ashley Cole has dismissed speculation that the full-back could be set for a loan move to Crystal Palace when the transfer window reopens next month, according to the Express.

The ex-Chelsea man moved to Roma in the summer after eight successful years at Stamford Bridge, and has so far made eleven appearances for Rudi Garcia’s side though he has been left out in favour of Greece international Jose Holebas in recent weeks.

Palace, who had Cole on loan fifteen years ago, before he established himself in the Arsenal line up, had been linked but a move looks unlikely to materialise after his agent David Manasseh insisted that his client is happy with life in the Italian capital.

Roma currently sit second in Serie A, a point behind leaders and reigning champions Juventus, and can be backed at 2/1 to win what would be their first title since 2001.
