Carlton Cole has been offered the chance to earn a deal with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, according to the Express.
The striker has been without a club since being released by West Ham United for a second time in the summer, and is on trial with Ronny Deila’s side battling to win a contract offer.
In nine seasons with the Hammers, Cole racked up almost three hundred appearances in all competitions, scoring sixty-eight times.
Prior to his move to Upton Park, the thirty-one year old spent a decade at Chelsea while he has also had loan spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa while internationally he has been capped seven times for England.
Cole was in the stands as Celtic thumped Dundee United 6-0 on Sunday afternoon, a result which keeps them five points behind leaders Aberdeen, who maintained their 100% record with victory at Heart of Midlothian.
