Talksport understands that Ashley Cole will leave Roma in January.
The former England international move to the Italian capital last summer, but has made just eleven appearances for the club in all competitions and has been left out of the match-day squads for both of their league games so far this season.
He rejected a deadline-day move to Newcastle United, though he could be on his way to a new club when the transfer window reopens.
Prior to his move to Serie A Cole spent eight seasons with Chelsea, racking up over three-hundred and thirty appearances, scoring seven goals and winning a whole host of major honours including the Premier League, four FA Cups, the League Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League.
He also won trophies at Arsenal while he was capped one hundred and seven times by England leaving him fifth on the list of the nation’s all time appearance makers.
