Colo Colo beat Palestino to win Chilean clausura

Colo Colo have won the Chilean championship for the 28th time, thanks to a 3-1 victory over Palestino in the second leg of the Clausura final.

The first match, played six days ago ended in a 1-1 draw but Colo Colo were clearly the better side at home with Barrios netting the opening goal on 27 minutes.

Aquino did equalise ten minutes later but Gazale made it 2-1 five minutes after the break and Millar netterd a third, another six minutes later.

Colo Colo are traditionally the best side in Chile. Having won 28 championships, they are well ahead of all-time runners-up Universidad de Chile with 12.

Moreover, Colo Colo have now won five of the last six championships.
