The agent of Racing Club striker Teofilo Gutierrez has revealed that Napoli and Fiorentina are showing interest in his client.
The Colombian striker has been earning rave reviews for his performances in the Argentine championship and he looks set to move to Europe at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old was recently linked with a move to Porto, but it appears that Serie A is his most likely destination.
The player’s representative claims that two Serie A clubs have already enquired about his client.
“There are two Italian clubs very interested in Gutierrez,” Ricardo Pachon told Uruguayan radio station Radio El Espectador.
“I am talking about Napoli and Fiorentina, who are already informed of the player and could soon present a proposal.”
Pachon explains that his client is interested in moving to Italian Serie A.
“Teofilo is very excited about the prospect of competing in Serie A.”
Gutierrez has already spent some time in Europe, having spent one year at Trabzonspor before joining Racing Club in February 2011.
The highly rated forward has since bagged 19 goals in 36 league games for the Argentine giants, but his battling spirit saw him earn no less than three red cards this season.
