Colombian midfielder joins Union

Philadelphia Union confirmed on Monday the signing of Colombian midfielder Roger Torres from America de Cali.

Torres made his debut for Colombian side America de Cali last year, starting 15 games for the club.

The 18-year-old joins the Major League Soccer side on loan until the end of the season.

“We’re very excited to have Roger join our club,” said Philadelphia Union manager Peter Nowak.

“He’s another young, talented player with a lot of potential and he’ll be a strong addition to our midfield attack. His creativity and ability to see the whole field will help us play the way we want to play.”
