According to former Liverpool Echo and Goal.com journalist Neil Jones, Liverpool’s reported interest in Chelsea defender Levi Colwill is genuine, but the London Blues are the ones who hold all the cards in this matter.

The 20-year-old is contracted to Chelsea until the summer of 2025, which obviously means there’s no rush for the club to sell him, but it’s expected he’ll be offered a new deal on improved terms soon.

Colwill’s fantastic displays at the just-finished UEFA Euro Under-21, where he helped England lift the trophy, will have only increased the attention he’s been getting.

Spurs sign Manor Solomon on free transfer

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they’ve completed the signing of Manor Solomon as a free agent, following the cancellation of his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk.

According to FIFA’s ruling on the contract situations of players playing for Russian and Ukrainian clubs, contracts could be cancelled unilaterally by the players, as long as the clubs were informed about it in written form by July 1st at the latest. Solomon exercised that right and agreed to join Spurs as a free agent, and now the transfer has been completed.

The 23-year-old winger is already familiar with the game in the Premier League, having spent last season on loan at Fulham, and scored four goals in 19 appearances in the English top flight for the Cottagers. He has signed a five-year contract with Spurs, though still subject to international clearance and work permit.

Bayern are believed to be contemplating Amrabat as a potential alternative target after pulling out of the race to sign Declan Rice. The West Ham captain is on the verge of joining Arsenal.

Amrabat attracted plenty of attention, from potential suitors as well as the media, with top-class performances while representing Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar last year.

With Chelsea lacking a proper striker, it seems clear the 20-year-old Ivorian, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Molde in January this year, isn’t deemed ready to lead the line for Mauricio Pochettino’s team. With that in mind, the loan to Union makes sense; not only will he get to play in the Champions League with the Bundesliga club, but he’ll likely gain significant game-time on a weekly basis, something he probably wouldn’t be getting at Chelsea.
