There is concern in the Chelsea camp over the injury suffered by Michael Ballack in their 4 – 0 win over Portsmouth at Stamford Bridge earlier in the day.
In the first half manager Luiz Felipe Scolari had to take his Chelsea star player off after he had suffered an ankle injury.
It is extremely doubtful that he will be able to take his place in the German team to play Belgium in a friendly on Wednesday.
Further examination will reveal whether he will be fit for next weekendÂ’s Premier League fixture at the JJB Stadium against Wigan Athletic.
