Celtic have completed and confirmed the signing of Christopher Jullien from Toulouse.
The 26-year-old defender will join the Scottish Premier League champions after three seasons with the Ligue 1 club, where he made just over 100 appearances and found the opposition net six times.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon has expressed great satisfaction with adding Jullien to his team, describing him as “a quality player with great attributes “. Despite Celtic’s barely disputed domination in Scotland in recent years, Lennon believes it is always important to add quality players to the squad, and he feels that Jullien is one of them.
The 6’5” Jullien will certainly pose a towering presence in Celtic’s back line, as well as a threat from set-piece situations upfront. He has put his name on a contract that is set to keep him at the Celtic Park for four years, while the fee which Toulouse are set to receive for his services is reportedly around £7 million.
