Confirmed: Dendoncker signs permanent Wolves deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers really know what they are doing. After signing several players on permanent deals following their successful loans – including there Jonny Castro and Raul Jimenez – they have done the same thing once again. July could not start any better for Wolves fans, as Leander Dendoncker has signed a permanent deal with the club from Molineaux, the club have announced on Monday morning.

The 24-year-old spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Molineux from Anderlecht and it was a good campaign for him. He helped Nuno Espirito Santo’s side finish seventh in the Premier League and qualify for Europa League football straight after getting promoted from the Championship. Dendoncker played 19 times for Wolves in Premier League, amounting to almost 1500 minutes on the pitch.

The Belgian midfielder scored two goals in the process. Wolves did not reveal the price they had to pay in order to get Dendoncker, but according to Transfermarkt, that fee was in the region of £12m.
