Manchester United have completed and confirmed the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. The fullback has signed a contract that’s set to keep him at Old Trafford for five years, with the club having the option of extending it for further 12 months.
Wan-Bissaka said it was an honor for him to call himself a Manchester United player, and he can’t wait to start the process of integration into his new team, but he will take a short break first, following his exploits in the U-21 European championship.
The two clubs reportedly agreed a deal worth £45 million, plus a potential of further £5 million in appearance-based add-ons, and the two parts of his medical were done on Wednesday and Thursday.
The signing of the 21-year-old goes with United’s reported new transfer strategy, one that should see them aim for young British talent. Wan-Bissaka arrives as their second signing of the summer, following the acquisition of winger Daniel James from Swansea.
