Juventus boss Antonio Conte has added fuel to speculations linking Fernando Llorente with a move to Turin.
The Athletic Bilbao striker is believed to be in negotiations with the Bianconeri over a summer move to Juventus Arena, but other clubs are also keen on the Spain international.
Juventus boss Antonio Conte has now moved to confirm he is interested in signing the highly rated striker.
“Llorente? He is a national team player, he has done well at Bilbao and he is very attractive because he will be available on free, especially considering the economic moment we live in,” the talented boss told reporters at a press conference ahead of the clash with Sampdoria.
“Then we will see if the player chooses Juventus. Of course, after a year and a half, we have begun to attract true European champions.”
It is no secret the Old Lady are searching for a world-class centre forward, having failed to sign one last summer, and they have made Fernando Llorente their number one target.
With Athletic Bilbao reluctant to negotiate a sale in the January transfer window, there is every chance the Spaniard will arrive on a free transfer next summer.
Fernando Llorente has been in scintillating form ever since he established himself as a first team regular at San Mames, having scored 62 La Liga goals over the last four seasons.
He has started just one league fixture this season, while making another ten substitute appearances.
