Conte hopes to leave Chelsea in the summer

The Sunday Times is reporting that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte plans to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Despite lifting the Premier League trophy in his first season in charge, the Italian reportedly wants to return to Italy at the earliest opportunity.

Conte is not only feeling homesick, but was also disappointed by club’s dealings in the summer transfer window and was thinking about quitting his job a couple of months ago.

The Italian eventually failed to do so due to a clause in his contract that would see him reportedly pay €23 million to the club in case of premature departure.

However, Conte hopes he will manage to find some kind of agreement with the Blues at the end of the season and return to Italian Serie A.

After leading Juventus to league glory, the highly rated manager remains a hot commodity in Italy, meaning he should have no problems finding a new job.
