According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte is going to be demanding a contract worth £8.5 million a year in order to take over as Inter Milan’s new manager. The Italian club have been linked with a move for Conte over the course of the last few months, but it’s always seemed as if there was an obstacle or two in the way. If this report is to be believed, then the finances involved would certainly serve as a realistic stumbling block.
Conte has been out of work since leaving Premier League side Chelsea, and has been linked with a series of different European teams ever since. He has yet to commit to any one specific side, but there are still some intriguing possibilities for him out there.
Conte’s last two roles in Italian football came with the Italy national team and Juventus – the latter of which he spent three years with.
