According to reports in England, Antonio Conte is set to replace Julen Lopetegui as the new manager of Real Madrid Football Club. It’s no secret whatsoever that Lopetegui has been on thin ice over the course of the last few weeks, if not months, but it finally seems as if his time has come at the Bernabeu. The 5-1 defeat against Barcelona at the weekend in El Clasico should logically all but seal the deal, and it’s just a case of putting the pieces in place.

Conte coming in almost feels equally as inevitable as his departure from Chelsea did, and this would serve as a welcome addition for Real – in our mind, at least. Conte has been a consistent managerial force to be reckoned with for quite some time now, and he deserves all different kinds of praise for what he was able to accomplish during his tenure with the Blues.
