Contract talks begin for Herrera & Mata

According to reports in England, contract talks have begun for both Juan Mata and Ander Herrera. The two Manchester United midfielders have often been viewed as severely underrated members of the squad at Old Trafford, and it seems as if the Red Devils are starting to realise that by taking steps towards keeping them in Manchester. While both have seen more playing time as of late it still seems as if the fans believe they aren’t being played in the right kind of system, but that could all be down to the criticism that has been directed towards Jose Mourinho in recent months.

Mata has long since been viewed as one of the better playmakers in the Premier League whereas Herrera is much more of a grinder, but when both men are at the top of their game, it feels like they’re up there with the best of them in the division.
