Paraguay international keeper Justo Villar has completed a move to Estudiantes de la Plata, the Argentine club have revealed.
The 34-year-old was a free agent since being released from his contract at Valladolid earlier this summer.
The veteran keeper yesterday met with Estudiantes vice-president Marcelo Malaspina and financial director Juan Pablo Real in Buenos Aires, and signed a three-year deal with the Students.
The meeting took place just one day after Villar almost single-handedly helped Paraguay reach the Copa America semi-finals, having made a serious of stunning saves to lead his team to victory over Brazil.
Villar has already played in Argentina from 2004 to 2008, and even helped Newell’s Old Boys win the Apertura title during his first season in Rosario.
The keeper has 90 Paraguay caps to his name and is currently with la Albirroja in Argentina, taking part in 2011 Copa America.
