Brazilian clubs Internacional and Cruzeiro recorded Copa Libertadores wins on Thursday, while Santos stumbled at Colo Colo.

Internacional thumped Bolivian club Wilstermann 4-1 in Cochabamba to remain leaders of Group 6 with seven points.

Wilstermann defender Juan Brown put the hosts ahead in the eighth minute, but then undid all his good work with an own goal eight minutes later.

From there it was all Inter, as striker Leandro Damiao (19) and midfielder Ze Roberto (25) quickly put the visitors up 3-1.

Kleber Correa added his own touch to the proceedings with a goal in the 82nd minute, the defender’s first goal in nearly eight months.

Elsewhere, Ecuadorian club Emelec joined Inter on seven points in Group 6 with a 1-0 win over visiting Mexican club Jaguares.

David Quiroz coolly converted a penalty kick in the 54th minute for Emelec, who are a game in arrears to Inter.

Cruzeiro took a commanding four-point lead in Group 7 with a 6-1 demolition of struggling Colombian club Deportes Tolima.

Midfielder Roger nabbed a brace in the second half and Walter Montillo, Wallyson, Gilberto and Thiago Ribeiro also got on the scoresheet for the hosts, who handed Tolima their fourth straight loss in all competitions.

Santos fell 3-2 at Chilean outfit Colo Colo after conceding three goals in the space of 15 first-half minutes.

Former Manchester City midfielder Elano found the net for Santos in just the fifth minute, but Esteban Paredes (27), Ezequiel Miralles (35) and Andre Scotti (42) combined to wrest the advantage firmly in the hosts’ favour.

Nineteen-year-old striker Neymar added a second goal for Santos four minutes after the break, but the visitors were unable to make further inroads and remain third in Group 5 with just two points.
