Bari booked their place in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia with a 4-1 win over Livorno on Wednesday.
With Bari winless from their last five starts, Serie B side Livorno were deemed a chance to upset the hosts at the Stadio San Nicola, but it was the Serie A club who made all the running.
A Luigi Rana penalty gave Bari the lead in the 25th minute, before three second-half goals killed the contest.
Andrea Masiello scored five minutes after the restart before Emanuel Rivas got his name on the scoresheet when he found the back of the net in the 55th minute.
Marco D’Alessandro added a fourth on 74 minutes to extend the advantage, although striker Federico Dionisi did manage to fire in a late consolation for Livorno.
Bari’s reward for the victory is a trip to the San Siro where they will face Serie A leaders AC Milan in the round of 16 on December 9.
