Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has spoken of the team’s disappointment after their 3-3 draw with Norwich on Saturday.
Robin van Persie scored a double that looked to have given the Gunners the win but Steve Morison’s 85th-minute goal handed Norwich a share of the points.
Coquelin admitted the draw was a huge blow to his side’s Champions League hopes, and now feels they have no choice but to go to West Brom on the final day of the season and get a victory.
“When you come back to 3-2 at home you expect to hold the result, and it didn’t happen so obviously the whole team is really disappointed,” he told the club’s official website.
“We played better in the second half and scored two goals, but fair play to Norwich, they didn’t give up and got the equaliser. We’re battling for third, but this was a massive blow.
“It is not down to us now, we just need to focus on West Brom and try to claim the three points.
“We will give 100 percent until the end of the season. We have one last game and we need to win.”
Arsenal remain in third place, but only by a single point from Tottenham with Newcastle a further two points behind in fifth place.
