Competition: Copa America
Market: Costa Rica to win against Paraguay
Odds: 13/5 @ Betfair

Costa Rica lock horns with Paraguay at the Orlando Citrus Bowl in their opening Group A game of this summer’s Copa America Centenario tonight, and are hoping to come away with a win given their superior form ahead of the tournament.

Victory would see them join Colombia atop of Group A after their first round of games. USA are currently bottom.

Costa Rica have enjoyed five wins and a draw from their last six internationals, beating stellar opposition such as Uruguay and USA, while conceding just two goals for their troubles. They are notoriously a defensively resolute side sprinkled with attacking flair, and will fancy their chances against an out-of-form Paraguay.

Los Guaraníes boast the strong squad of the two sides, but their form has fallen apart in the last year. Three games without a win ahead of tonight’s Copa America clash against Costa Rica, while having enjoyed just one victory from six, Paraguay aren’t in any shape to threaten a win against their South American opponents.

It’s sure to be a tight game, but Costa Rica’s superior form might see them edge it at the Orlando Citrus Bowl. Betfair are giving odds of 13/5 for Costa Rica to win against Paraguay to get off to the perfect start in Group A.
