Costa to leave Atletico Madrid?

According to a recent report from Marca, Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa has admitted that he could leave the club prior to the transfer window closing.

The controversial striker has been linked with a move away from the Spanish giants all summer long but it’s never really seemed as if any team has pushed hard enough to try and make a deal happen. That may no longer be the case now, though, because as we all know, teams up and down the spectrum of world football tend to get a little bit more desperate as the time ticks by before the window shuts.

Costa is still capable of being a real force at the highest level of European football but if he isn’t given the chance to prove himself on a consistent basis at Atletico, he may start to consider the possibility that his future in the sport lies elsewhere.
