Could Arsenal be eyeing up Walcott replacement already?

Arsenal are lining up Victor Moses as a replacement for want away winger Theo Walcott, according to the Metro.

With just twelve months remaining on his current contract, Walcott’s future is certainly up in the air and it is being suggested that the Gunners could sell him for the right price.

Should this be the case, it appears that Wigan man Moses – who is a wanted man this summer – could be the player Arsenal go after.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with the former Crystal Palace man of course, but they are unwilling to match Wigan’s valuation.

However, if Arsenal do sell Walcott, it could free up some cash for them to spend.

With Robin Van Persie saying last week that he won’t be signing a new contract with Arsenal, it has certainly been a bizarre week for them.

After a couple of early summer signings – including Lukas Podolski – Gunners fans were feeling positive about the upcoming season, but this has definitely changed.

Now, it is uncertain whether their leading scorer and most dangerous winger will be at the club for the start of the season.

For one reason or another, Arsenal are bound to be heavily involved in transfer speculation over the coming weeks.
