The Sun are today reporting that Spanish giants Real Madrid are planning a shock move to bring Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez to the Bernabeu.
Tevez spent a large period of last season away from the Ethiad Stadium after falling out with Roberto Mancini, but the two settled their differences and the Argentinean front man played a big part in helping the Citizens win their first ever Premier League title.
Despite Tevez’s seeming happy at City, Mancini may feel as though it is time for the 28-year-old to move on to avoid a similar situation next season.
City are apparently interested in signing Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie and the money used to offload Tevez could bring the Dutchman to the club.
Real Madrid are sure to be keen on bringing another attacker to the Bernabeu as they look to defend their La Liga title.
Mancini is likely to be busy again in this transfer window, however he will also need to watch the clubs wage bill and may have to send players out before bringing them in.
Whatever happens, this will be one of the most talked about deals of the summer and one to keep an eye on.
