Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has admitted that he doesn’t have a clue what future holds for him.
Having proved his worth during a loan spell at Atletico Madrid, the Belgian has become one of the most sought-after players in world football, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and few other top clubs reportedly keen on his services.
Los Colchoneros obviously plan to try and turn his loan deal into permanent move, whereas the return to Stamford Bridge appears unlikely given that Courtois doesn’t want to play second fiddle to Petr Cech.
And even the player himself admits that he is not sure where he will be playing his football next season.
“I do not want to rush and make a bad decision. We must still think about it,” Courtois told Spanish newspaper AS.
“It is difficult with so many interested parties, plus it’s not the only time to think about my future. I belong to Chelsea, I have a contract, and I do not have to rush to make a decision.”
Courtois has spent last three seasons on loan at Vicente Calderon and it looks as though Chelsea will have to make a decision on his future at the end of the current campaign.
The Blues face local rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon, with away win available at 9/20.
