According to a recent report from Sport, Philippe Coutinho was left feeling outraged last summer when Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy pulled the plug on a potential deal that would’ve seen the Brazilian return to the Premier League.
The former Liverpool star is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona, and hasn’t quite been able to replicate the kind of form he enjoyed at Anfield with either of the two European giants.
The reputation that Coutinho carries of being one of the best players in world football seems to have caused some overestimations in the last few years, with many wondering whether or not he’s the kind of player that is just better suited to the English style.
It doesn’t seem as if Coutinho would be interested in the prospect of a move to Spurs now, and given how things supposedly played out, it doesn’t seem like many of us can blame him.
