Coutinho asks Arsenal for more time

According to a recent report from Sport, Philippe Coutinho has asked Arsenal for more time before he commits to an official decision regarding his future.

The Brazilian, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona, has been linked with a move back to the Premier League for longer than we care to remember. The former Liverpool star is wanted by the aforementioned Gunners, but in addition to that, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are also said to be in the running.

Coutinho is easily one of the most polarising players in terms of his actual ability in the modern era, given that he went from being the hero at Anfield to the zero at the Nou Camp following a huge drop off in his form.

Nobody knows the direction this saga will take, but one thing is for sure, it isn’t about to be resolved overnight – even though we’d all like that to be the case.
