According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Bayern Munich will be extending Philippe Coutinho’s loan deal to last until the end of the current season. That means he will be eligible for selection once the UEFA Champions League gets back underway in August.
The deal for the loan to be extended was agreed upon in the wake of talks of Wednesday, however, Bayern have not taken up the option to make his loan deal a permanent one.
Coutinho is now back in full training after undergoing minor ankle surgery, but despite this news, it does appear as if his future is still as uncertain as it has been in a long time.
Many clubs have toyed around with the idea of making a move for him, but none have been able to pull the trigger.
Whether or not this prompts them to do so remains to be seen, but it seems unlikely.
