According to a recent report from the Mirror, Barcelona are still intending to sell Philippe Coutinho during the summer transfer window – and they’ve even offered his services to Arsenal and Newcastle United in order to really get the ball rolling.
The Brazilian has been lingering in a pit of mediocrity during his tenure at both the Nou Camp and with Bayern Munich, with neither club being able to get the best out of him. The last time we really saw him thrive was during his spell at Anfield with Liverpool, but it seems unlikely that he’ll head back to Merseyside now.
The Gunners and the Magpies, on the other hand, would clearly be more than happy to take a punt on him.
In addition to his name value, Coutinho has the ability to turn a game completely on its head – and it’s just a case of rediscovering that top form.
