Melissa Reddy, a journalist who used to cover Liverpool for Goal.com and now works for ESPN, was a guest on a BBC radio show and gave her views why bringing Philippe Coutinho back this summer wasn’t of interest for the Champions League winners. She pointed out that Coutinho left Liverpool as their best player, but would now be returning as perhaps the sixth or seventh, without a guaranteed place in the starting XI, and she revealed that he could easily have gone to Paris Saint-Germain at one point – which he refused.
