Coutinho to stay at Barcelona?

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are ready and willing to offer Lionel Messi’s number 10 shirt to Philippe Coutinho.

In doing so they’ll be offering the former Liverpool man a chance to right some of the wrongs he’s had during his time at the Nou Camp with the popular opinion being that he has one more shot at making a name for himself in Spanish football before he’s officially moved on once and for all.

The departure of Messi certainly shook things up in a big way within the Barcelona camp and while there’s a great deal of negativity in the air surrounding their future, some feel as if this could be a great opportunity for them to rebuild and prove the doubters wrong.

Coutinho is a world class player when he’s performing at his very best and Barca will hope with everything they have that they can draw it out of him this season.
