According to a recent report from AS, Philippe Coutinho’s proposed salary is standing in the way of him completing a move to German giants Bayern Munich. The club are not prepared to make the Brazilian sensation their highest earner, with that honour currently going to star striker Robert Lewandowski.
Coutinho’s future has been a source of great discussion over the course of the last few months, with many questioning whether or not he’d be staying at Barcelona. In the end, it has become obvious that his future lies away from the Spanish giants, despite the fact that neither Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur were able to get a deal over the finish line.
Coutinho is still an incredibly exciting player and would be a great addition to the majority of top European squads, but there is a sense of trepidation for many as to whether or not he can still play at that top level.
