Sky Bet League One side Coventry City have signed a short-term deal with former Everton and Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
The 34-year-old veteran forward has been training with the Sky Blues over the past few weeks and has apparently done enough to prove his fitness to Coventry City manager Russel Slade.
Aiyegbeni has signed a deal that will see him remain at Coventry until May 2017 as once a notable English club attempts to add some valuable experience in their fight against the drop.
Coventry sit bottom of the league and are facing relegation to the fourth tier of English football.
Aiyegbeni remains remembered for his spell at Everton, although he also played for Blackburn Rovers, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth.
Nigerian international recently returned to England following a spell in the Turkish Super Lig, where he played for Kayserispor.
Yakubu Aiyegbeni played 12 league games for the Turkish side, but failed to score a single goal during that time.
