(GSM) – Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has revealed that he is hoping to conclude a deal that will see Marcos Alonso at the club in the next few days.
The versatile 19-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, is being regarded as an exciting prospect for the future.
The teenager has so far failed to make a major breakthrough at the Santiago Bernabéu with Real now willing to listen to offers.
Benfica had previously been linked with Alonso but Bolton now look to be leading the chase and Coyle feels a transfer could be imminent.
Asked whether he would be looking to bring in a couple more players, Coyle told Sky Sports News: “We will do our utmost to do that.
“We are trying to get a little bit closer to bringing in Marcos Alonso from Real Madrid.
“It’s not quite 100 per cent but we are well down the road with it and I would hope that by the start of the week we can conclude that.”
