Bolton manager Owen Coyle says they will only have themselves to blame if they are relegated at the end of the season.

With 12 games left to secure their top-flight safety in the English Premier League, the club welcome fellow strugglers Blackburn and QPR to the Reebok Stadium, before a trip to Wolves at the end of March.

Coyle’s men currently sit second from bottom, but the 45-year-old maintains his side have enough quality to avoid the drop.

“Our destiny, our fate, or whatever you want to call it, that’s in our own hands and to do that we have more than enough good players to go and address that,” he told Sky Sports News.

“We have had a tough set of fixtures, but equally we know there are so many winnable games to come.”

Leaders Manchester City are next up and Coyle believes his side could cause a shock at the Etihad Stadium, where City are yet to drop points.

“We go to Manchester City and again everybody will be writing us off as they do,” he said.

“Can you compete with a club like that over 38 games? No, but on any given day, absolutely.”

“To do that we need every one of our players, not six or seven, but 11 to be focused, doing their job to the maximum and if you do that you can achieve results.”
