Bolton manager Owen Coyle will call his players in on Christmas Day as his side prepares for a hectic festive period.
Wanderers entertain West Brom at the Reebok on Boxing Day in the first of four games in 11 days.
“It’s an exciting period with a number of games in quick succession, but we are looking forward to each and every one of them,” Coyle said.
“Ultimately it’s the same as playing four games in four weeks because there’s 12 points available and you have to try your best to take as many as possible, recognising that every game in the Premier League is tough.”
“It’s been difficult with the weather but it’s been no different for any of the other teams up and down the country. You have to adapt and get on with it.
“We’ve been on the grass a couple of times because of the under-soil heating at the Reebok Stadium, there’s the all-weather at the academy and we’ve been indoors as well for one training session.”
“We’ve mixed and matched things to make sure that we are at our best come the match day.”
“Preparation is extremely important in the Premier League so the players will be in on Christmas Day.”
“The players are well rewarded in the summer when they have five or six weeks off and although everybody wants to be with their families, we have an important game against a very good West Brom side that love to get the ball down and play.”
“I imagine that the players who have children will be up early, come into training and then head home to enjoy the rest of the day with their families.”
Bolton can recall Mark Davies, after suspension, while Coyle could restore Chung-Yong Lee to midfield after resting the South Korean for the 1-0 defeat at Sunderland.
