(GSM) – Owen Coyle is hoping to agree deals to keep Gary Cahill and Zat Knight at Bolton Wanderers next season.

There are a number of Premier League clubs are interested in Cahill. Notably Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on the central defender.

The centre-back Knight has also regained his form and the Wanderers boss is hoping to build his team with defensive duo.

“The two of them are outstanding centre halves,” Coyle revealed.

“I want to build a team around the likes of Gary Cahill and Zat.

“If someone offers us as a football club something we can’t refuse then we’d have to look at that, we’d be crazy not to, but, as a manager, I want Gary here.”

“People said to me prior to coming to the club that he had been in indifferent form but he’s been outstanding for me on a game-to-game basis,” the Trotters manger said about Knight.

“He’s a leader and enjoys himself, and that’s the type of player I want at the football club.”
